Pastoral Care of the Sick
The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick offers prayers for healing, hope and strength and is intended for a Catholic at the beginning of a serious illness, before surgery or weakened due to age or chronic infirmity. Viaticum, "Food for the Journey", is Holy Communion with special prayers for the dying and serves as the "last rites" for Catholics who are terminally ill and in the last stages of life. Our parish clergy are always willing to visit hospitals to pray with and support those who are ill. Sacraments in the hospital are provided by the designated Catholic Chaplain. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion generously make themselves available to bring Holy Communion to the homebound of our parish. Please contact the Parish Office to arrange for these services.

New Parishioners
We are always happy to welcome new parishioners to Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, a parish over 100 years old, with a rich history of dedicated service and active Catholic Christian life. New parishioners may sign the book in the vestibule of the Church or contact the Parish Office by email or phone to become registered and active members.

Sacraments of Matrimony and Baptism
Please contact the parish office at 504-488-2659 or by email at
office@ourladyoftherosary-no.com for more information.

At this time, Our Lady of the Rosary Parish does not have enough young children to support a full CCD program. If you have a child or teen, please contact the St. Dominic Religious Education Office at 504-486-9731 for CCD registration information.

Please contact the office if you are interested in Faith Formation instruction for entering the Catholic faith.
